But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.
I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, putting me into service, even though I was formerly a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent aggressor.
Yet I was shown mercy because I acted ignorantly in unbelief; and the grace of our Lord was more than abundant, with the faith and love which are found in Christ Jesus.
It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all.
Yet for this reason I found mercy, so that in me as the foremost, Jesus Christ might demonstrate His perfect patience as an example for those who would believe in Him for eternal life.
Maurice’s passion comes from being an African American male who has experienced firsthand the pitfalls of the streets and the challenges of putting ones life together as an ex-offender. His mission is rooted in the rich family heritage and inspiration from his grandfather, the late Bishop Jesse H. Winley and working with his father, Bishop Robert I. Winley, who have served families in Harlem for over 50 years. Although he had his father’s guidance, he took the wrong path.
Living Redemption is the ministry work of speaker, youth mentor and community leader Maurice Winley. Through the work of Mr. Winley as well as his associated non-profit organizations, Living Redemption focuses on disconnected young men in Harlem, namely African American and Latino males age 16-24.
Living Redemption has three strategic focuses and they are as follows:
A Catalyst for Communicating Conviction and Change in our communities will be the faith based outlet of R.E.A.L. Solutions with a vision of engaging the church and faith based organizations’ toward initiating a sustainable Kingdom Movement with generational impact.
Living Redemption Ministries has allowed me to cultivate the best of the strategies I have mastered in Youth Development from both faith-based and professional social services, and to incorporate them into a systematic, goal-directed initiative that can meet the varied needs of youth from diverse and socio-economic and cultural populations.
